Nestle Health Sciences Institute experts emphasize that personalized health strategies targeting specific life stages are critical for achieving optimal healthy ageing outcomes in Asia. According to Rania Abou Samra, Global Head of Product Technology and Development, the ageing process often begins in one's forties, particularly in Asia, and requires tailored approaches to address the unique health needs and triggers at each stage of life.
From maintaining physical appearance and managing general health in the forties to addressing cognitive health and mobility in the senior years, personalization is key. Samra highlights that vitamins, minerals, herbals, and supplements (VMHS) have become the primary choice for consumers aiming to age well, especially among those aged 65 and above. She also underscores the importance of focusing on women's health, given their distinct needs due to hormonal changes throughout the ageing process.
