A survey by Suntory-backed start-up Rem3dy Health revealed that Japanese adults in their 20s and 30s show the highest interest in personalised nutrition, with 53% of respondents in their 20s and 51% in their 30s expressing interest. Notably, 23% of those in their 30s were particularly engaged, slightly more than the 19% in their 20s. The survey, which included 400 participants across age groups, found that interest significantly declines in older demographics, with only 10% in their 40s and 8% in their 50s showing interest.
The research also highlighted that younger adults prefer quick and easy methods to manage their health. 26% of those in their 20s described themselves as "very health-conscious," the highest among all age groups. Many young respondents seek expert advice from gym trainers or nutritionists, even at a cost, aiming for the "shortcut health-conscious" approach rather than relying on trial and error. This trend underscores a generational shift towards convenience and personalized solutions in health management.
