Japan's beverage giant Asahi reported significant growth in its RTD (Ready-to-Drink) alcoholic beverages and Southeast Asian market in its H1FY2024 financial results, contributing to a 3.8% increase in revenue and 6.2% growth in core operating profits. The success was largely driven by premiumisation and increased unit prices, particularly in Japan and Southeast Asia. However, the company faced challenges in Oceania, where profits declined by 11.7% due to lower beer sales and higher raw material costs. Despite these setbacks, Asahi remains focused on brand investment and innovation to sustain its competitive edge and improve profitability.
